The invention relates to a method for compensating local registration inaccuracies. The model-based method for compensating local registration inaccuracies in a printing press, comprises the steps of: creating a model for calculating geometrical deviations of color separations; determining the influencing factors of the model (in particular process and material parameters); calculating the geometric deviations of the color separations using the created model and the determined influencing factors; modifying the individual color separations, in order to compensate for the calculated geometric deviations; executing a print job with the modifications. |
