PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a flicker phenomenon that is caused due to light emission interruption at the moment when each light-emitting cell falls to or below a turn-on voltage after each light-emitting cell emits light at the same turn-on voltage in an array in which light-emitting cells are formed repeatedly and periodically.
SOLUTION: A light-emitting device includes a substrate and a plurality of light-emitting cells 100-1 to 100-16 arranged on the substrate, and has an array in which at least two light-emitting cells with different sizes and electrically connected in series to each other are formed repeatedly and periodically. Because each light-emitting cell formed in a light-emitting diode has a different size, each light-emitting cell has a different turn-on voltage when each cell emits light by an alternating current power source, so that the time when each light-emitting cell initiates light emission varies, thereby effectively suppressing the flicker phenomenon.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
