RAILWAY FREIGHT CAR LONG-STROKE CONSTANT-CONTACT ELASTIC SIDE BEARING AND VIBRATION DAMPING METHOD

A railway freight car long-stroke constant-contact elastic side bearing and vibration damping method. The elastic side bearing comprises a side bearing lower member (3), a side bearing upper member (1), a side bearing bearing plate (5), a rubber member (2) and a metal spring (4). The side bearing lower member (3) is integrated with two side bearing upper bodies (1) respectively by vulcanizing the rubber member (2), and is connected to the side bearing bearing plate (5) via an end of the side bearing upper member (1) to form two inserted rubber springs disposed connected in parallel and acting as a transmitting side bearing a longitudinal load. The metal spring (4) is sleeved on the outside of each of the inserted rubber springs, and is between the side bearing lower member (3) and the bearing plate (5), and bears most of a side bearing vertical load. By the above combination, the following features are organically combined: the metal spring readily achieves a large stroke and has a small permanent deformation after operation, and the inserted rubber spring has a high radial stiffness; thus, the invention realizes a long-stroke constant-contact elastic side bearing, and effectively inhibits a side rolling motion and a snaking motion of a freight car.
