Embodiments of the present invention provide a communication method and device. A network controller receives a first message sent by a first access network device, the first message being used for requesting the network controller to configure a first user equipment with at least one access network device so as to achieve data transmission between the first user equipment and the at least one access network device; and the network controller configures the first user equipment with a second access network device. The technical solutions provided by the embodiments of the present invention enable a user equipment to select a more reasonable data channel to transmit data.
