PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel exhibiting robustness, suppressing erroneous detection even when a water droplet, etc. adheres thereto, and suited for waterproof specifications, and a display having the same.SOLUTION: A touch panel comprises: a touch screen substrate 101 on which touch panel detection sensor lines 102 are provided; a transparent substrate 201 which is disposed to overlap the touch screen substrate 101, an indication body 702 contacting one principal surface thereof; and a capacitance detection circuit 902 which detects a change in a capacitance between the indication body 702 and the touch panel detection sensor lines 102 and which detects a contact position of the indication body 702 on the transparent body 201, the transparent substrate 201 having an additional electrode 202 in a region that does not overlap a sensor effective region SR of the touch screen substrate 101, and the capacitance detection circuit 902 receiving detection signals input and detected by the plurality of touch panel detection sensor lines 102 and applying the detection signals to the additional electrode 202 via a buffer circuit 904.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
