PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust an impeller clearance without requiring any large-scale adjustment work by an operator.SOLUTION: A centrifugal pump 1 comprises clearance adjusting means for adjusting an impeller clearance T. The clearance adjusting means includes: a guide mechanism 20 enabled to guide a drive shaft 10 in the axial direction; a motor 30 for driving the guide mechanism 20 and holding a stop position; and a controller 40 for controlling the motor 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
