PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chromium (III) fluoride hydrate that has an excellent solubility in water and is useful as a trivalent chromium source, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The chromium (III) fluoride hydrate of the present invention has no absorption peaks observed in a wave number range from 1500 cmto 1250 cmin an infrared absorption spectrum measurement, and has a content of hexavalent chromium of 1 ppm or less. It is suitable that in an ion chromatography measurement, the maximum peak value observed in the range of retention time of 4 minutes or more and 6 minutes or less is 0.5 μS or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
