PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modifier for a cellulose ester resin which gives an optical film excellent in anti-volatile property and moisture permeation resistance.SOLUTION: The modifier for a cellulose ester resin comprises an ester compound represented by a formula below and a polyester resin represented by formula (2). In the formulae, G represents a polyhydric alcohol having 2 to 10 carbon atoms; A represents an aromatic monocarboxylic acid having 1 to 5 hydroxyl groups; B represents an aromatic monocarboxylic acid having 6 to 12 carbon atoms; M represents an (oxy)alkylene glycol having 2 to 12 carbon atoms; and L represents an (aromatic) alkylene dicarboxylic acid having 2 to 12 carbon atoms.SELECTED DRAWING: None
