<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent data corruption by suppressing intensity concentration on a Fourier plane (a recording plane of a medium) of DC light when reading information by applying the DC light and reference light during reproduction of a hologram recording medium having data recorded thereon by interference fringes resulting from a signal light and the reference light. <P>SOLUTION: Divisive phase modulation is applied to DC light. For example, phase modulation based on two values, π/2 and π/3 that are randomly allocated, is applied. Thus, intensity concentration of the DC light on a Fourier plane is suppressed, and corruption of data recorded on a medium is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
