摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a combustion catalyst having high dissociation temperature of oxygen from the catalyst and capable of maintaining activity even at higher temperature by heat-treating powder containing activated component which contains palladium or its oxide as a main ingredient and heat resistant oxide except it at a specific temperature once or more prior to sintering. CONSTITUTION:A powder containing activated components which contains palladium or its oxide as main ingredient and heat resistant oxide except it is heat-treated at a temperature of 400 deg.C or higher once prior to sintering, or sintering, or this powder is heat-treated at 400 deg.C or higher prior to sintering to coating and carrying the powder to durable support surface. As the other heat resistant oxide except the activated component, oxide of zirconium, aluminum, silicon, nickel, titanium, tantalum, lanthanum, cerium, etc., are included. Thus, fuel gas is fed from a fuel gas supply port 6a to a gas supply passage 4, passed through the palladium combustion catalyst 7 and burned.
