<p>Compounds represented by general formula (I), wherein R1 represents hydrogen or C¿1-6? alkyl; R?2, R3 and R4¿ represent hydrogen, C¿1-6? alkyl, etc.; and X represents a divalent group -C(R?5)(R6¿)- or -NR7- (wherein R5 represents hydrogen or hydroxy; R6 represents phenyl or a 5- or 6-membered, saturated or unsaturated nitrogen-containing heterocycle; and R7 represents hydrogen, C¿1-12? alkyl optionally having one or more unsaturated bonds, etc.). Because of the effect of regulating the expression of the physiological activities of retinoids such as retinoic acid, these compounds are useful as retinoid activity regulators.</p> |
