PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surveying instrument with a PF(Power Focus) function capable of carrying out focus adjusting operation in a motorized manner. SOLUTION: This surveying instrument is provided with a PF mechanism for electrically driving a focus adjusting lens of a collimator forward or backward in the optical axis direction. It is preferable to add an MF function thereto.
