SURVEYING INSTRUMENT WITH MULTI-FOCUS FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surveying instrument with a multi-focus function capable of carrying out focusing operations other than an AF function in the case of a surveying instrument equipped with an AF(Auto Focus) controlling means. SOLUTION: This surveying instrument is provided with a PF(Power Focus) mechanism for electrically driving a focus adjusting lens of a collimator forward or backward in the optical axis direction by means of an electric drive mechanism of an AF mechanism irrespective of the output of a focus detecting means of the AF controlling means. It is preferable to add an MF function thereto.
