<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyarylene sulfide resin which is suitable to produce a high-quality polyarylene sulfide resin composition part which generates few gases during the processing thereof, and is excellent in mechanical properties such as impact property, etc., and the process for the production thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A production method of a polyarylene sulfide resin comprises that a slurry containing polyarylene sulfide after polymerization reaction of a dihalogenated aromatic compound and an alkaline metal sulfide in an organic solvent is subjected to (I) a solid-liquid separation after the stirring treatment of the slurry in the same organic solvent of the polymerization solvent; then to (II) another solid-liquid separation after washing thereof, and, then, to (III) yet another solid-liquid separation after the slurry is treated by adding water and an inorganic acid and/or an organic acid to provide pH 6 to 8 thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
