PURPOSE: A passenger air bag module is provided to prevent incomplete expansion of an air bag by suppressing expansion of the middle part of the air bag in the initial expansion and jetting gas. CONSTITUTION: A passenger air bag module comprises an air bag housing(54) installed to an instrument panel(52) in an opposed state to a passenger seat; an inflator(56) connected to the front of the air bag housing, to supply high-pressure gas if a collision accident occurs; a retainer installed to the inside of the air bag housing in a state of dividing the front and rear of the air bag; an air bag(59) the open front end of which is combined to the retainer; and an air bag expansion pressure dispersion unit(60) installed to the air bag of the side in which high-pressure gas flows. Plural holes are formed in the retainer to enable a flow of high-pressure gas. The air bag is received in the air bag housing in a folded state. If air bag is filled with high-pressure gas, the air bag expands toward the passenger seat. The air bag expansion pressure dispersion unit suppresses the initial expansion of the air bag of the side in which high-pressure gas flows to make high-pressure gas dispersed at the initial expansion stage of the air bag.
