<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development apparatus capable of stably maintaining toner concentration even in the case the amount of developer is reduced, further, capable of attaining a quick response in toner supply to drastic toner consumption, and also, capable of reducing the cost by reducing the number of components, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the developing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A partitioning member 39 is provided with a 1st counter part 39u adjacently facing a developer carrier 32 on the upstream side in the rotating direction of the developer carrier 32 with reference to a layer thickness control member 41, and a 2nd counter part 39d adjacently facing the developer carrier 32 on the upstream side in the rotating direction of the developer carrier 32 with reference to the 1st counter part 39u, and a recess 47 for storing two-component developer G checked by the 1st counter part 39u after being carried by the developer carrier 32, and also, for making the two-component developer G naturally circulate is formed between the 1st counter part 39u and the 2nd counter part 39b of the partitioning member 39. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
