<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sequential stereoscopic display device which can achieve stereoscopic display free from dazzling a viewer in a flat panel display. <P>SOLUTION: The sequential stereoscopic display device which presents an image for a right eye and an image for a left eye alternately in terms of time includes: a transmission type liquid crystal panel configured so that the image for a right eye and the image for a left eye are simultaneously written in different partial areas as a change of transmittance and maintain them in duration of frame frequency; and a backlight illuminating the partial areas in which the image for a right eye and the image for a left eye are written alternately in terms of time with frequency different from the frame frequency in the duration of the frame frequency. The partial areas in which the image for a right eye and the image for a left eye are written are fixedly alternately allotted to adjacent lines respectively, or alternately allotted to adjacent lines respectively and allotted in reverse order for every frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
