PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet coating curing equipment capable of reducing the amount of an inert gas consumed and capable of early curing ultraviolet curable coating, and an ultraviolet coating curing method. SOLUTION: A preheating furnace 11 is constituted so as to allow hot air to act on a work W to evaporate the solvent component of the ultraviolet curable coating and an ultraviolet curing furnace 12 is constituted so as to irradiate the work W passed through the preheating furnace 11 with ultraviolet rays to cure the ultraviolet curable coating, closed at its furnace upper part 12a and stores the inert gas lighter than air therein. The preheating furnace 11 further includes a hot air generator 41 and a hot air flow channel 42, and the hot air flow channel 42, is constituted so as to guide the hot air supplied from the hot air generator 41 to the ultraviolet curing furnace 12 to transmit the heat of the hot air to the inert gas.
