The electrical plug unit has a housing (10) whose front side (12) has an array (14) of socket contact elements. The elements may be arranged in a double row. The underside (30) of the housing may be made of a conducting substrate or circuit board (34). Its surface (32) may carry SMD building blocks. Openings (38) in the circuit board accommodate fastening clips (36).
