PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner excellent in which all of low temperature fixability, offset resistance, filming resistance, the rising properties of electrification and preservability, and reducing the generation of an odor as well, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner comprises: a polyester resin (A); and a polyester resin (B) having a softening point higher than that of the polyester resin (A) by≥10°C as binding resins. The polyester resin (A) is a resin derived from (meth)acrylic acid modified rosin having a polyester unit obtained by polycondensating an alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component comprising (meth)acrylic acid modified rosin, and the polyester based resin (B) is a resin derived from fumaric acid/maleic acid modified rosin having a polyester unit obtained by polycondensating an alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component comprising fumaric acid modified rosin and/or maleic acid modified rosin.
