PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of improving the design property of a displayed body with simple constitution. SOLUTION: Light beams L1 and L2 generated in a light emission area 7x are emitted from the front face 1a of a surface light emitting device 1, and then are made to pass through a transparent member 2 and are emitted directly to the outside from an opening part 3c of a design constitution layer 3. Light beams L3 and L4 generated in the other light emission area 7y are made to pass through the transparent member 2 to be made incident on the light-reflective rear surface 3b of the design constitution layer 3, reflected here and made to pass through the transparent member 2 again, and then made to pass through the transparent substrate 5, the transparent electrode layer 6, and the organic layer 7 of the surface light emitting device 1 in order. Further, the light beams are reflected by a reflective electrode layer 8 and made to pass through the organic layer 7, transparent electrode 6, and transparent substrate 5 in order, and emitted from the front face 1a of the surface light emitting device 1 to be emitted from the front face 1a of the surface light emitting device 1, so that they are repeatedly reflected between the rear surface 3b of the design constitution layer 3 and the reflective electrode layer of the surface light emitting device 1 and then emitted to the outside from the opening part 3c of the design constitution layer 3.
