摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel preventing a creep phenomenon of a magnetic encoder to attain normal rotation detection. SOLUTION: This bearing device for the wheel has double rows of rolling elements 5 interposed between raceway surfaces 3, 4 of an outer member 1 and an inner member 2. The inner member 2 comprises a hub wheel 9 and an inner ring 10 fitted to the outer periphery of an inboard side end of the hub wheel 9. The hub wheel 9 and the inner ring 10 are formed with the raceway surface 4 of each row. The annular magnetic encoder 12 is pressed into the outer diameter surface of the inner ring 10. The inboard side press-in end (a) of the press-in fitting surface 10a of the inner ring 10 to the hub wheel 9 is located on the inboard side rather than the outboard side press-in end (b) of the magnetic encoder 12 to the inner ring 10. The press-in end (a) of the inner ring 10 to the hub wheel 9 is located on the inboard side rather than a position (c) in which an extension line L of a bearing contact angle of the inboard side raceway surface 4 intersects the inner diameter surface of the inner ring 10.
