LIGHT TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light transmission system which can perform the switch between the transmission paths between a plurality of sections in parallel.

SOLUTION: The light transmission system includes: a plurality of active system transmission path apparatuses; a plurality of standby system transmission path apparatuses; and a controller for controlling these apparatuses. When a transmission path switching indication from the controller purposes the switch of the active system transmission path of the active system transmission path apparatuses other than itself, the transmission path switching indication is issued for switching its own active system transmission path into the active system transmission path apparatus.
