PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain used for the theft prevention of an automatic vending machine for connecting a chain using wires whose diameters are 10 mm to fixing metal corresponding to 13 mm without any trouble. SOLUTION: This chain 6 is configured to regulate the opening of the door of an automatic vending machine by connecting the both ends to fixing metal between the main body of the automatic vending machine and the fixing metal fixed to the door, and a plurality of metal rings are successively connected so that this chain 6 can have prescribed length, and stainless steel wires whose diameters are 13 mm are used for an end metal ring 6a positioned at one end, and stainless steel wires whose diameters are 10 mm are used for the other metal ring 6b, and the end metal ring 6a is formed like a ring in such a state that the both ends of the metal wires are butted to each other.
