<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for driving railway cars enabling a train to run in a range as long as possible with limited energy resources by calculating a high-efficiency driving speed for minimizing equipment for driving the cars and a loss caused from the driving state of each of the cars. <P>SOLUTION: This system for driving the railway cars includes: an inverter device 8; a three-phase AC motor 20 driven by the inverter device to generate a traction force; and an inner supply type energy means such as an engine 5 and a power storage means 28 as a power supply unit for driving the inverter device 8. Also, the system includes a system united controller 10 for collecting an engine shaft output, an engine operation speed, a storage battery discharging current and a car speed (≈motor operation speed) which are required for calculating the energy loss generated by driving the cars or running, from each of the equipment via an information transmission means 13 etc. and processing the collected information to calculate the high-efficiency driving speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
