Disclosed are a coaxial connector and a method for assembling the same. The coaxial connector is capable of preventing plastic deformation of a movable terminal when the movable terminal is displaced by a center conductor of a coaxial plug, and is improved in an assembling process to simultaneously press-fit the movable terminal and a fixed terminal into the coaxial connector. The coaxial connector according to one preferred embodiment of the present invention includes: an insulating housing having a hole inserted thereinto with a center conductor of a coaxial plug; an outer conductor mounted on an outer side of the insulating housing; a fixed terminal press-fitted into and fixed to the insulating housing; and a movable terminal press-fitted into and fixed to the insulating housing, having a plate spring shape continuously and repeatedly curved upwards and downwards, and having elasticity for coming into contact with the fixed terminal when the center conductor of the coaxial plug is not inserted into the hole of the insulating housing, and for being displaced in the direction of being spaced away from the fixed terminal by the center conductor when the center conductor of the coaxial plug is inserted into the hole of the insulating housing. |
