There is provided a printed medium having a machine-readable image printed thereon, and a computerized method and system for scanning the machine-readable image by a scanning device, the medium capable of presenting a plurality of views of the machine-readable image when being observed from different viewpoints, each of the plurality of views having a respective visual element embedded therein, wherein at least one of the plurality of views is embedded with a visual element being a visual code having data encoded therein, the method comprising: i) sequentially, for each of the plurality of views, detecting the visual element embedded therein; and analyzing the detected visual element to obtain information associated therewith, and ii) determining whether the scanning process is successful at least based on a matching relationship between the information associated with the detected visual elements. |
