A washing machine comprises a first washing unit (12), a second washing unit (14), a water intake system (16), and a water discharge system (18). The second washing unit (14) is located above the first washing unit (12). An upward clothes taking opening is formed in the second washing unit (14). The water intake system (16) is used for supplying water to the first washing unit (12) and the second washing unit (14). The water discharge system (18) is used for discharging water out of the first washing unit (12) and the second washing unit (14). The first washing unit (12) and the second washing unit (14) are used for washing clothes in a classified mode at the same time. In this way, clothes are washed in the classified mode by using the first washing unit (12) and the second washing unit (14), the first washing unit (12) can wash clothes of adults, the second washing unit (14) can wash underwear of females or clothes of infants, and accordingly cross infection is avoided. In addition, the washing mode has the advantage of saving energy, and small clothes do not need to be washed in an original washing unit. |
