1. A method for fabricating an array of riblets comprising:
forming a master tool having protuberances corresponding to a desired riblet spacing: forming a complementary tool from the master tool; depositing rigid tips in the complimentary tool; removing the rigid tips from the complementary tool; integrally depositing a surface layer intermediate the rigid tips; and depositing an adhesive layer on the surface layer.
