PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing component excellent in wear resistance and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The bearing component contains C:0.2-0.6%, Si:0.1-1%, Mn:0.1-1.0%, Cr:1.0-2.5%, Mo:0.5-2%, V:0.1-1%, Al:0.01-0.1%, P:0.05% or less (excluding 0%), S:0.05% or less (excluding 0%), N:0.02% or less (excluding 0%) and O:0.005% or less (excluding 0%) and the remainder consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities. Carbide present in a region from the surface of the bearing component to a depth of 50 μm has an average circle equivalent diameter of 0.10-0.50 μm and an area ratio of 6.0-25%. |
