PURPOSE: An electric motor is provided to easily discharge a liquid from a cavity by providing a ventilation passageway in a cavity of an interface plate. CONSTITUTION: A rotor(24) comprises a rotor shaft(28). An interface plate(26) is fixed to a stator(22) and composed to enable a motor to be connected to a pump. The interface plate comprises a shaft opening, a cavity(44), a ventilation passageway(48), a fluid discharge part(50), an exhaust path, and an surface to be expanded in the upper direction. The shaft opening is expanded through the interface plate. The rotor shaft is expanded through the shaft opening. The ventilation passageway is expanded from the cavity in the upper direction.
