Decoder system for subscription TV signals - uses system based on TV signal audio coding only, actuating receiver side release

The decoder system actuates a receiver side targeted release of coded or non-coded tone signal from the demodulator system of an available TV receiver after determined authorisation obtained by evaluation characteristic signals from subscriber receiver. Pref. the system contains its own demodulator system, and the coded tone signals are derived from the same HF source, from which the TV receiver receives the video signals. The system may be integrated in a mobile receiver, independent of the TV receiver. It may be used as personal paging or calling system. USE/ADVANTAGE - For RDS paging, using digital modules for general data transmission. Allows subscriber's receiver to be disabled if payment outstanding.
