PURPOSE:To obtain a pneumatic tire capable of running even in case of having a puncture and a rubber compound useful for a structural substrate for the purpose thereof, having a high elastic modulus, a low hysteresis and a high compressive bending fatigue. CONSTITUTION:This sulfur valcanizable rubber compound having a high elastic modulus and a low hysteresis properties for pneumatic tire comprises, based on a total of 100 pts.wt. rubber polymer, 25-55 pts.wt. polyisoprene, about 75-45 pts.wt. diene polymer selected from a homopolymer of a conjugated diene monomer, a copolymer of the same with a monoolefinic monomer and EPDM terpolymer (at least a part of one of the rubber polymers is grafted with a polymer-like metal salt of an alpha, beta-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid to produce an unvalcanized graft rubber copolymer), about 50-70 pts.wt. reinforcing filler, at least 4 pts.wt. vulcanizing agent selected from sulfur and a sulfur donor, and lacking peroxide component. |
