<p>The invention relates to apparatus for introducing tubes, bars, rods and similar bodies into machines in which they are processed as a result of a rotational/translational movement relative to their axes. The apparatus comprises a feed device for the tubes or bodies provided with a series of rotatable rollers (10, 11, 12) with axes of rotation parallel to that of a tube or other body to be introduced. At least one roller (12) is driven so as to rotate a tube or body loaded on the apparatus, and all of the rollers are mounted in turn on a slide (13) movable to and fro along the axis of the tube or body loaded; as a result of the rotation of the body, combined with its simultaneous forward movement imparted by the translation of the slide (13), the tube or body loaded adopts a rotational/translational movement corresponding to that of the downstream processing machine into which it is introduced. In particular, perfect synchronism between the movement of a tube or body to be introduced and the operative conditions for its subsequent processing can be achieved by adjustment of the speeds of rotation and translation of the driven roller (12) and of the slide (13).</p> |
