PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and correctly manage business card data even in the case that one terminal is used by plural users or in the case that one user owns plural portable terminals. SOLUTION: This equipment is provided with an own data storage part 1 for storing specified data including a user ID capable of being re-registered or the like for identifying the user of the terminal and a comparison processing part 6 compares the specified data stored in a temporary storage part 4 with the respective specified data of a data base stored in a main storage part 5. In the case that one or both of the user ID and/or names in the specified data do not match respectively, the specified data stored in the temporary storage part 4 are newly added and registered to the data base of the main storage part 5. In the case that both of the user ID and/or the names in the specified data match respectively, the other data items in the specified data are compared with each other further. When a non-matching data item is present, the pertinent data item in the specified data is changed.
