The invention provides novel paclitaxel derivatives obtained by effecting modifications at C2', C3' and/or C7 positions of paclitaxel, said derivatives being useful in inhibiting the growth of cancer of lung, breast, ovary, cervix or leukemia, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising such derivatives.
