PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attitude controller for a work machine provided with an attitude change operation means capable of changing and operating a forward and backward inclination angle of a machine main body for a ground contact part of a running device and a control means for performing pitching control for controlling the operation of the attitude change operation means so as to bring a forward and backward inclination angle of the machine main body for a horizontal reference face to a set inclination angle to maintain the machine main body at the set inclination angle even if the inclination of a running face is large and avoid forward and backward repeated swing of the machine main body due to the pitching control and the move of center of gravity even if it stops at a start point of downward inclination. SOLUTION: A pair of driving means C2 to C5 capable of freely changing and adjusting heights for the ground contact parts of running devices in a front part and a rear part of the machine main body individually are operated to perform the pitching control by the control means. The driving means C2, C4 for adjusting the ascent and descent of the front part of the machine main body are not driven and operated to an ascent side during a period of time from the inclination of the machine main body to a forward inclination side for the horizontal reference face to the advance thereof by a set distance.
