PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance image quality when low-resolution image data is converted into high-resolution image data. SOLUTION: Groups of low-resolution image data which assume values of low resolution from 0 to 3 at a predetermined pixel and high-resolution image data 27 which assumes a value from 0 to 3 at a divided pixel obtained by dividing the predetermined pixel vertically and horizontally into two are recorded in association with each other. The total of the low-resolution image data 25 corresponds to the high-resolution image data 27 and there are a plurality of kinds of combinations of the high-resolution image data 27 corresponding to the predetermined pixel (e.g., six kinds of combinations of the high-resolution image data 27 for the "2" of the low-resolution image data 25.)
