<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform photographing by switching contents displayed on an image display unit depending on fluorescence stages. <P>SOLUTION: Clocking is started in S1. A photographer observes a change in a fluorescent agent while observing the observation moving image of the fundus of an eye to be examined, simultaneously adjusts alignment for photographing a still image, and operates a photographing switch to photograph the still image in S2. At the initial fluorescence stage immediately after the fluorescent agent is intravenously injected, a large number of still images need to be photographed within a short period of time while observing the change in the fluorescent agent. In S3, whether or not a predetermined time (a) has elapsed is determined, and it is determined that the fluorescence stage has shifted to the later fluorescence stage when the predetermined time (a) has elapsed. When the predetermined time (a) has not elapsed, the process proceeds to S4, and the observation moving image is displayed.
