The present invention relates to a roller for use in a portable reaper for cutting off weeds in paddy fields on farms, orchards, shoulders on roads, and gardens and the like that is adapted to place a cutter blade coupled to a rotary shaft of a gear box disposed at the bottom surface of an operating rod member of the reaper to be spaced apart by a given distance from the ground and is moved in every direction while conducting weeding, and more particularly, to a roller for use in a portable reaper that is capable of making a user easily adjust his or her own working distance and height from the ground, reducing his or her fatigue even after finishing the weeding for lots of hours, and utilizing the reaper with ease, even though the user is a beginner, a woman, a child, and an old person.
