A system and a method for performing payment with a mobile terminal are provided to automatically authenticate a user without receiving a mobile number by checking information of the mobile terminal connected to a PC through a data cable or a wireless port when the payment is made in the mobile terminal. The user PC(10) is connected to the mobile terminal(20) through the data cable or the wireless port, and includes a mobile terminal keypad input program. The keypad input program inputs the same character inputted through a keypad of the mobile terminal as a value inputted by using a keyboard or a mouse. The data cable is a USB(Universal Serial Bus), RS(Recommended Standard)-232, and IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 1394 cable. The wireless data port is one of Bluetooth, IrDA(Infrared Data Association), ZigBee, and UWB(Ultra Wide Band).
