PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester of a simple constitution, which secures followingness of a planting row in a sparsely planted field having a large intrarow spacing distance. SOLUTION: The combine harvester is equipped with a control part C with which a right and left rotation direction is determined and the traveling direction of a machine body is controlled so that the combine harvester follows an unreaped grain straw line A (or B) of a reaped row continued in the traveling direction of the machine body and travels by the detection signal of a grain straw sensor 1a (or 1b) which is attached to a reaping part E and detects an unreaped grain straw to be reaped by contact. The grain straw sensor 1a (or 1b) is set at any outside position of reaping width for reaping by the combine harvester and for detecting a distance inside direction up to the outermost grain straw A (or B) at the same side and the control part C controls the rotation of the machine body in the right and left direction so as to make the distance in the inside direction become a fixed value.
