PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal evaporation method by which a chemical can efficiently be evaporated, and to provide a thermal evaporation container used therefor. SOLUTION: This thermal evaporation method for controlling insect pests by thermally evaporating an insecticidal undiluted material or an added insecticidal undiluted material obtained by adding additive to this insecticidal technical product. For example, an insecticidal undiluted material 3 is received in the vessel 5 and the vessel 5 is heated thereby, the insecticidal undiluted material 3 is thermally evaporated. Thus, the insecticidal component can efficiently be evaporated in no need of solvent when heating and evaporation, accordingly in no need of discrimination between water-based or oil-based in the case when solvent is used, in addition, the sizes of the vessel for evaporation and of the heating tools also can be compactized.
