PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an annular component extremely high in the plane accuracy of both side faces and the complete circle accuracy of inner and outer peripheral surfaces at all times without being influenced by heat treatment deformation. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the annular component has an intermediate molded product forming process for forming an intermediate molded product 2 machined into an annular final molded product; a heat treatment process for applying heat treatment to the intermediate molded product; and a final molded product forming process for applying surface machining to both side faces 10, 12 and inner and outer peripheral surfaces 14, 16 of the intermediate molded product 6 after heat treatment to machine both side faces into plane shapes and to machine the inner and outer peripheral surfaces into circumferential surface shapes to form the final molded product. In the intermediate molded product forming process, at least one side face of the intermediate molded product is formed of at least one of projecting parts 4a, 4b, 4c projected by a predetermined height a1 from the side face, and in the final molded product forming process, all the projecting parts are completely eliminated by grinding the side face of the intermediate molded product.
