PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively inhibit generation of negative pressure in a combustion chamber in a screw compressor having a suction port provided in a radial direction of a rotor. SOLUTION: The screw compressor is provided with: a housing 6 including a suction port 6a and a delivery port 6b; and a pair of rotors 1, 2 arranged in an inner space of the housing 6 and having spiral teeth meshing each other, has a compression chamber compressing gas sucked from the suction port 6a by rotation of the pair of rotors around rotary shafts 1a, 2a formed in an inner space, and delivers compressed gas from the delivery port. Communication paths 6c, 6d, 11 establishing communication between the suction port 6a and the compression chamber communicating to the suction port 6a, are provided on the housing 6 to make gas sucked in the communication path from the suction port 6a flow in a rotor axial direction.
