REGION WEIGHTING MEHTOD BASED ON SPATIAL LOCATION INFORMAITON FOR RELEVANCE FEEDBACK IN IMAGE SEARCH ENGINE

A space location information-based region weighting method for relevance feedback of an image searching unit is provided to be applied as a core technology for searching images of various fields to thus accurately reflect a user intention and obtain good searching performance. Every image is divided into multiple images by using an image dividing method(step1). A weight value is calculated by extracting a characteristic vector of a size of a region, a location of a region, a distribution of a region, compactness and convexity for weight value information from the divided regions(step2). A region-based image searching process based on a relevance feedback is repeatedly performed by applying the weight value information until the user intention is reflected(step3).
