PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic material having flowability and excellent in dispersion stability of dispersed particles. SOLUTION: (1) The cosmetic material comprises a water soluble polymer, a hectorite-based inorganic thickener and a film-forming polymer emulsion. (2) The cosmetic material (1) described above in which the water soluble polymer is xanthan gum is provided.
