PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral apparatus control system which significantly reduces a load on a user for driver setting operation required for additionally creating a printer icon, thereby clearly showing addition of the icon to the user and increasing efficiency of driver setting operation. SOLUTION: The peripheral apparatus control system notifies, when initializing an icon, a user of additional creation of the printer icon by starting a dialogue for prompting the renaming of the icon, creates a file storing print setting and transfers the setting from the file to the additionally created icon to save labor for resetting.
