PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a separation discharge or friction discharge and prevent the occurrence of bad effects on an image while separating a recording medium having passed through a transfer nip from an image carrier by the carrier and transfer means.SOLUTION: An image formation device comprises separation means 13 for separating a recording medium P from an image carrier 1 after a toner image is transferred from the image carrier to the recording medium, a separation means holding unit 15a for holding the separation means, and a conveyance guide unit 15b disposed downstream from the separation means in the direction of recording medium conveyance and having a guide surface 15c for guiding the conveyance of the recording medium, the guide surface changing the direction of recording medium conveyance having passed through a transfer nip unit N formed by contact of the image carrier with the transfer means to the side closer to the image carrier and being shaped so that an end part C on the conveyance direction downstream side protrudes toward the downstream side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
