An endoscopic image display device, comprising: an endoscopic image display unit configured to scrollably display a plurality of images to be displayed among captured endoscopic images in a specific display area within a screen; a display mode switching unit configured to switch from a first display mode to a second display mode, the first display mode being such that entire images to be displayed among the captured endoscopic images are displayed in the specific display area in an arrangement of M rows by N columns, the second display mode being such that entire images to be displayed among the captured endoscopic images are displayed in the specific display area in an arrangement of M rows by N columns that is different from the arrangement of the first display mode; an operation receiving unit configured to receive a scroll instruction and a display mode switching instruction that are issued in response to a user operation; and a display control unit configured to carry out scroll processing on the plurality of images in response to a scroll instruction received when a display mode is switched on the basis of a reception result of the operation receiving unit, and carries out control of switching a display in the specific display area such that, among the plurality of images in the specific display area displayed in the first display mode, at least one image located at a position that goes out of the specific display area first upon scroll in a forward direction is arranged, upon a switch to the second display mode, at a position that also goes out of the specific display area first upon scroll in the forward direction in the specific display area and such that the plurality of images are in an arrangement different from an arrangement in the first display mode.
